When your bot’s Start Node is connected to an Autonomous Node, you’ll see the Home tab appear. This is where you can configure the global settings of that autonomous node.
In Bot Details, you’ll define the primary role or persona of your bot. By specifying a clear instruction like "You are an IT support professional," you guide the bot to interpret and respond to user inputs within this context
The Agent structure sections performs an analysis of your bot’s current configuration and will generate some recommendations to improve your agent based on best practices we’ve seen across millions of deployments.
In Instructions, you outline what it is you want your bot to do in this autonomous node. For example, you might tell your bot to talk to your end user, pick a date and time for a meeting, and then use the Google Calendar tool to create a calendar event.
You can control the information sources your bot references to answer user queries in the Knowledge Bases section. Here, you can toggle access to specific knowledge bases and determine the scope of data your bot has access to.
Capabilities are actions your bot can perform based on the tools or integrations it has access to. Clicking any of these capabilities will take you to the node where you can edit these functionalities directly.
In channels, you manage the platforms where your bot will be active. For example, you can manage a bot that will be deployed on WhatsApp, your website, and your Linear dashboard. You can also add new integrations or deployment channels here.
Finally, Agents are global settings that operate behind-the-scenes. From here, you can configure existing settings or add new agents that can complete tasks like translating conversations, following brand guidelines, or adopting a specific personality.
