The Flow Editor is your visual, drag-and-drop development environment where you define your agent’s logic and capabilities.

You build flows by dragging and combining Nodes in the sequence you’d like the actions to be completed by your agent.

Right-clicking anywhere in the Flow Editor lets you create a new node that you can group together.

You can click and drag the entry and exit ports (these grey circles) on each node to indicate the order of operations your agent should follow.

For example, in this flow, we start by greeting the user, answering their questions, and directing them to relevant sub workflows if needed.

To add actions or tools to each of your Nodes, you can drag a card into each Node directly from the Card Tray. Different types of Cards are available to Standard and Autonomous nodes.

Clicking on an agent or card will pull up a configuration menu for that item, where you’ll customize things like instructions or text to be sent.

Getting used to using the Flow Editor is a great way to start learning how to build AI Agents on Botpress.

Summary
The Flow Editor is a visual, drag-and-drop tool for designing AI agent logic, connecting nodes, and configuring actions or tools.
