Quickstart

Build, test, publish, and embed your first Botpress Viber agent through conversation.

Botpress Viber is a conversational builder for creating, testing, and launching AI agents. Describe what you want your agent to do, and Vibe, its builder agent, helps you create and improve it.

Create your first agent

Describe the agent you want

Open Botpress Viber, select a workspace, and choose New agent.

Tell Vibe:

  • who the agent should help;
  • what the agent should help them accomplish;
  • what information the agent should know; and
  • any tools or human handoff behavior it needs.

For example:

Build a customer support agent for Northstar. It should answer questions about shipping and returns using our help center and escalate billing disputes to a person.

Start with what you know. Vibe may ask follow-up questions before creating the first version of your agent.

Refine what Vibe built

Continue working with Vibe in the same conversation. You can ask it to change the agent’s behavior, add knowledge, connect tools, or prepare it for a channel.

For example:

  • “Make the responses concise and friendly.”
  • “Use this page to answer questions about our return policy.”
  • “Escalate refund requests over $500 to a person.”

You can also open the screens under Build to review or edit the agent’s behavior, knowledge, tools, and escalation settings directly.

Test the agent

Open Preview and have a representative conversation with your agent. Preview runs your latest changes, including changes you have not published yet.

If the agent responds incorrectly, describe the problem to Vibe or use Fix with Vibe. Test the conversation again after Vibe applies the change.

Publish and add Webchat to your website

Select Publish changes and publish the agent. New agents start with Webchat enabled, so you can publish without connecting another channel.

After publishing:

  1. Open Deploy > Channels > Webchat.
  2. Select Share your agent.
  3. Copy the embed snippet.
  4. Paste the snippet immediately before the closing </body> tag on your website.

Use the shareable link when you want to test the published agent in another browser or send it to someone for review.
